Monchhichi is a line of Japanese stuffed monkey toys released by Sekiguchi Corp. in 1974, and the name is a combination of the French word "mon" (my) and the sound of a baby sucking its thumb, which is "chichi". Originally created to inspire friendship, love, and happiness, they have become a popular companion for multiple generations around the world.
